Doha, Qatar- Al Kharaitiyat decided on Tuesday to part company with Moroccan first-team coach Aziz El Amri, following Sunday’s 5-0 defeat to Al Sailiya in the QNB Stars League in Week 11.

El Amri is the second coach to be fired by Al Kharaitiyat this season. The club sacked Tunisian coach Nassif Al Bayawi earlier in the season. Mansour Moussa, head of the football team at Al Kharaitiyat said that Aziz El Amri is a good coach, but he was unable to apply his idea to benefit the team in achieving good results.

In a press statement, Moussa said that after a series of bad results, the management of the club felt that it is better for the parties to terminate the contract by mutual consent.

Head of the football team at Al Kharaitiyat added that Wissam Rizk will lead the team temporarily in the next phase.

El Amri coached Al Kharaitiyat in eight games, where he won one against Al Gharafa and lost the other seven.

Al Kharaitiyat are in the 12th position with three points, five points behind Al Khor, who are in the 11th position.
