Doha, Qatar- The Lebanese School qualified to the second round of basketball competitions for boys preparatory schools at the Schools Olympic programme (SOP) after beating Blyth Academy 22-10 and Global Academy 21-8 on Tuesday.
The first round of the SOP basketball competitions was held at the Indoor Hall of the Qatar Basketball Federation (QBF).
In secondary schools event, the Lebanese School also cruised to the second round with a 19-7 victory over the Palestinian school.
In girls competitions for primary schools, Maymouna bint Al Harith School defeated Al Salam School 12-2 while Khadija bint Khuwailid school edged past Al Wakrah School.
Moreover, Umama bin Hamza School downed Al Shefaa School and Al Shaqab school overpowered Al Refea School.
The SOP basketball competitions will continue over the next two days at the QBF indoor hall.
