Qatar's Coach Felix Sanchez has announced the squad for the friendly matches to be played this month against Switzerland and Iceland.

In the first fixture, Qatar will take on Switzerland away on the 14th of November. Al Annabi will then face Iceland in the Belgian city of Eupen on the 19th in the first meeting between the teams since striker Mohammed Muntari scored a late equaliser for Qatar in a friendly that ended in a 1-1 draw last year.

Coach Felix Sanchez will be looking to build on his squad's experience against tough opposition in a bid to form a powerful side in the build-up to the 2019 Asian Cup. Taking place next January in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar will be playing against Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and North Korea in Group E.

Squad: Saad Al Sheeb (goalkeeper), Pedro Miguel, Salem Al Hajri, Tarek Salman, Abdul Karim Hassan, Boualem Khoukhi, Hassan Al Heidos and Akram Afif (Al Sadd).
