QATAR YOUTH TEAM FINISHES 2nd IN ARAB GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP

Rabat, Morocco- Qatar Under-18 golf team won the silver medal and second place with a total of 463 strokes in the 19th Arab Golf Championship in Morocco and the 10th Golf Women Championship, which was hosted by the Kingdom of Morocco under the umbrella and supervision of the Arab Golf Federation with the participation of 36 teams in the youth under 18 and under the age of 15 years and women and representing about 120 players from 12 Arab and Gulf countries.

Qatar's youth golf team achieved a historic achievement by winning the silver medal at the Arab Golf Championship after a strong competition between Morocco, Tunisia, Qatar, Bahrain and the UAE.

Head of Qatari Delegation and the Secretary General of Qatar Golf Association Fahad Nasser Al Naimi, confirmed that this tournament is held under the umbrella of the Arab Golf Federation organized every year and is considered as one of the strongest championships in youth and young people because of the participation of strong Arab countries in this game, and our youth team succeeded to secure the silver medal and the second place for the first time in the history of the tournament, noting that the championship was not easy for our team, especially that the other teams were strong and the competition was hard, especially between Morocco, Tunisia, Qatar, UAE and Bahrain.

Al Naimi pointed out that the youth team under 18 years managed to win the silver medal and the second place for the first time in the history of the tournament which was not easy, especially that the other teams were strong.

He added that the Qatar youth team was in third place behind Morocco and Tunisia until the last moment, but thanks to determination our team succeeded to secure the second place after Morocco.
