NAM TAE-HEE SUFFERS ACL INJURY

"It is a great loss for the team because the injury will leave him six months away," Tunisian coach Nabil Maalouel said in a statement to Deutsche Presse-Agentur on Nam Tae-Hee's upcoming absence.

Midfielder Nam Tae-Hee played in a friendly with his national team South Korea against Uzbekistan and scored a great goal in the first half, with a left-footed shot in the 4-0 victory.

However, in the second half he sustained an injury and was subsequently carried off the pitch. After undergoing medical tests at a Korean hospital, he was diagnosed with a anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. The necessary operation for Tae-Hee's injury is likely to take place in Doha.

Nam's absence will be a major stumbling block for Al Duhail, as the midfielder was set to play in the upcoming AFC Asian Cup in January, as well as next year's AFC Champions League.

As a result, Al-Duhail will have to look for another professional to make up for the major loss of the Korean player, however coach Maaloul has stated that finding an adequate replacement for Nam Tae-Hee will prove difficult.
