QOC CELEBRATES OLYMPIC RUNNING DAY 2018

Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), represented by the Department of Sports Affairs, organized Friday the 16th edition of the Olympic Running Day 2018 at Doha Corniche, which is celebrated every year by the Olympic Committee on the establishment of the International Olympic Committee, with the participation of more than one hundred participants representing different segments of society.

The race, which reached 3 kilometers (from the Amiri Diwan to Sheraton Hotel), started at 8 am in front of the Amiri Diwan for the adult (men and women) over the age of 18, and (youth) from 15-18 years, while the race for children (boys and girls) started in front of the Coral Restaurant in the middle of the Corniche.

The Director of Sports Affairs Khalil Ibrahim Al Jaber, congratulated the winners and wished success to all of them in the coming days, noting that the race has achieved many desired goals set by Qatar Olympic Committee by the important participation from all age groups and the keen to exercise in the beautiful and moderate atmosphere in Doha Corniche, especially that the Organizing Committee was keen to provide all the requirements such as ambulances and the organization of tracks, referees, drinks and snacks.

Qatar Olympic Committee is keen to celebrate the Olympic Running Day every year to confirm the interaction with the programs adopted by the International Olympic Committee and to confirm its full support for everything that would enhance the presence of different segments of society to exercise and practice sports activities that benefit everyone.
