QCA TO START TRAINING CAMP FOR FEMALE CRICKETERS

The Qatar Cricket Association (QCA) will soon hold a training camp to prepare women cricketers for future competitions.

Under the presidency of Yousef Jeham Al Kuwari, the QCA has been showing keenness for some time to improve the level of female cricket players in the country.

After the Eid Al Adha festival in the second week of August, the QCA will launch the training programme under trained coaches of the association, according to Manzoor Ahmad, Operations Managers at the QCA.

The training sessions will take place at the Asia Town Cricket Stadium in Industrial Area under the floodlight sdue to heat and humidity.

The coaching will be imparted in two groups – below 14 years and above 14 years. Interested players or their parents may send the consent to join the sport development programme at email address: manzoorahmad2@gmail.com  and Email: smishra@olympic.qa

This is great opportunity for  players who have played cricket in their respective countries for any club, district or state teams and  are enthusiastic and interested  will be given priority in the senior training group.  Even those who have passion for cricket and wish to work hard on the field are also welcome, Ahmad added.
