WOODED TAKES HOME THE PRIX DE TOUR EN BESSIN

QREC

On just his second outing, the Al Shaqab Racing-owned WOODED (Wootton Bassett) won his maiden comfortably, taking the Prix De Tour En Bessin over seven furlongs at Deauville on Tuesday 13 August 2019. The bay colt, trained by Francis-Henri Graffard and ridden by Pierre-Charles Boudot, was never in danger and passed the post a length and a quarter in front of the White Birch Farm-owned and Jean-Claude Rouget–trained REPEL GHOSTS ridden by Christophe Soumillon. The Stall Hubertus-owned and Henk Grewe-trained AUTUMN, ridden by Antoine Hamelin, was a further head behind in third in the race reserved for two-year-old maidens.

WOODED was confirmed on his promising first start at Dieppe when he finished second by a short head over the same distance.
