The Indian football team arrived in Doha on Saturday 7th of September, for its second match of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and AFC Asian Cup China 2023 joint qualifiers Round 2, where it will face the host on Tuesday 10th of September.
India's last match ended with a defeat in the hands of Omani counterpart. Oman scored a thrilling 2 goals in the final minutes of the match.
Head Coach Igor Stimac commented in a press conference; "As soon as the Oman match ended, we shifted our focus immediately to the next match. Qatar are the strongest team in the group and playing them will not be easy. However, it's a great opportunity to learn from,"
Qatar will face India in the second game of their 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in Doha, on the 9th of September 2019.
