When the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), announced Qatar as the new host of the first edition of the ANOC World Beach Games, on the 14th of June 2019, the global sports body was not just naming Qatar as a host, but also reiterating what has become a widely acknowledged attribute of this sport-loving country as one that can put up an incredible global event.
ANOC World Beach Games Qatar 2019, held a press conference at Katara building 32, to announce the 1st official sponsor for this sport event. Vice Chairman and General Director of the Local Organising Committee H.E. Jassim bin Rashid Al Buenain announced that Katara Cultural Village and Aspire Zone, have been named the Official Venue Partners for ANOC World Beach Games.
“It is our pleasure to partner with our various sponsors for this historical event. It’s so exciting to see so many of Qatar’s organizations come together to create a truly unique event” Said H.E. Jassim Al Buenain.
General Manager of Katara Cultural Village, H.E. Dr. Khalid Al Sulaiti said, “This tournament is considered one of the biggest, and important event that Katara is hosting. With 98 countries participating in 14 sports in a span of 5 days, we as a nation and organization have a world standard to uphold for the athletes, fans and ourselves”
CEO of Aspire Zone Foundation, H.E. Mohamed Al Suwaidi, noted “It is truly an honor to be the first nation to be hosting the first ever ANOC World Beach Games, with it being a global event, it will give us experience and understanding to evolve and host future sports events”
The ANOC World Beach Games Qatar 2019 will take place from the 12 to 16 of October. With world renowned Athletes participating, as well as some of Qatar’s brightest athletes competing, it will truly be an experience not to be missed.
