The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) has announced during the 73rd meeting of the Olympic Council of Asia Executive Board at the City Centre Rotana Hotel in Doha, Qatar, on the 28th of September, that the fourth edition of the Asian Youth Games in 2025 has been awarded to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, following its unanimous approval by the Executive Board members.
The Olympic Council of Asia President, Sheikh Ahmad Al Fahad Al Sabah also pointed out that Doha will host the inaugural World Beach Games of the 206-member Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) from October 12-16 “We are very proud of that,” he added.
The OCA also accepted an invitation from the President of the National Olympic Committee of Iran, Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri, to host the next Executive Board meeting in Tehran on a date to be fixed.
