More than 2000 world's top athletes will be competing for 192 medals to be awarded across 49 finals during the championships.
The medals were designed by an all female branding team and are handcrafted in Doha by Sndala.
The medals pay homage to the Qatari capital by showcasing the Doha skyline and illustrations of Khalifa International Stadium. The medals also include 13 different elements of athletics disciplines,
21 medals have been distributed so far and at the top of the list, team USA with 2 gold medals and 2 silver medal. China follows with one gold medal one silver , and one bronze medal. Kenya comes after with a gold medal and a bronze medal.
The championship's will conclude on the 6th of October.
