Qatar’s Nasser Al Attiyah has
achieved his seventh victory in Cyprus with a dominant display in the Cyprus
Rally this Sunday.
This win guarantees Al Attiyah’s return home as champion, Maintaining
his Middle East Rally title for the 15th time in 17 years. The win comes
following the cancellation of the 5th round in Kuwait, which was set
to take place from October 31st to the 2nd of November.
Al Attiyah said, “I am
really happy to win here. This is one of our favorite rallies.”
Qatar’s Abdulaziz Saudon Al
Kuwari finished second in the Middle East Rally Championship behind Al Attiyah.
He struggled with technical problems throughout, finishing in 9th place
overall.
