On the
sidelines of the inaugural edition of the ANOC World Beach Games currently
taking place at various locations throughout Qatar, Qatar Olympic Academy
hosted a summit this afternoon on Education and Olympic Movement Development.
Discussing
the ways in which the Olympic movement can be a catalyst for change within a
society, various ANOC members gave real-life examples.
Using the
2006 Asian Games as an example, the panel explored how the Games were just the
beginning of the huge changes the country would undergo in the thirteen years
that would follow.
