ANOC World Beach Games: Day Four Roundup

On the penultimate day of the ANOC World Beach Games, eight finals took place. The games began at six o clock this morning at Katara Beach, as the moxed aquathlon got underway. Having already claimed gold in the men’s and women’s yesterday, Spain won the final medal up for grabs in this category.

 

This afternoon, the USA won gold in the women’s kite foil racing.

 

Both the men’s and women’s doubles beach tennis finals took place at Katara Beach. 

 

All four categories of the Beach Wrestling finals took place this evening at Katara Beach.

 

Following the women’s last night, Aspire held the men’s skateboarding final. 

 

Meanwhile, Qatar sealed their place in the 4x4 beach volleyball final against USA by beating Poland two sets to none in the semis, continuing their unbeaten streak.

 

In their final Group C match of the Men’s 3x3 basketball, Qatar beat Slovenia 2-0, placing them in the quarterfinals.

 

However, Qatar’s handball team ended their unbeaten streak, losing their first match of the tournament in their semi-final match against Brazil. Brazil will now face Spain in the finals, as Qatar take on Sweden in the battle for Bronze.
