FINA Swimming World Cup Doha 2019 confirmed the top swimming stars

Several world champions and Olympic swimmers have given their confirmation to compete in FINA Swimming World Cup Doha 2019, which will be held in Aspire Zone’s Hamad Aquatic Centre from the 7-9th of November.

Qatar Swimming Association (QSA) have come up with the final list of the athletes that will be taking part in this world-class event, the list includes a total of 210 athletes, with 134 male and 76 female, which will be representing 44 countries, as well as 60 club swimmers.

At the top of the list is Australia with 22 swimmers, with Poland right behind it, sending over will send 13 of their best swimmers, both China and Austria have 11 swimmers partaking. 

The Swimmers will be arriving at Doha from their sixth meet in Russia (1-3rd of November), which is hosting the first event of the third and final cluster.

Khaleel Al Jabir, QSA President, and Organizing Committee Chairman said “preparations are in full swing for the meet” he added, “QSA is honoured to welcome the world's best swimmers for the FINA Swimming World Cup 2019 and will provide the best facilities to all the participants”. 

 “The strong participation in the event once again reinforces Doha's status as an elite venue for major swimming events." “One of our main goals when we first hosted the event back in 2012 was to promote swimming in Qatar and in the region as a whole, to inspire new athletes and to introduce new fans to this exciting sport. We thank FINA and its partners for their continued support, which has helped us in achieving our mission," said the QSA President.
