The stage is set for the 7th round of the FINA World Swimming Cup 2019

The athletes are here and the stage is set. As the Qatar Swimming Association (QSA) are getting ready to host the 7th round of the FINA Swimming World Cup 2019, to be held at the Hamad Aquatic Centre, Aspire Zone.

The swimming world cup, which will take place from the 7th to the 9th of November, is the last stop of the FINA Swimming World Cup 2019 series. Between August and November, Tokyo (JPN), Jinan (CHN), Singapore (SGP), Budapest (HUN). Berlin (GER) and Kazan (RUS) hosted the previous 2019 series. The circuit is structured in clusters (Middle East, Europe and Asia) and distributes a total prize money reaching $2.5 million.

This will be the eighth consecutive year Qatar will be hosting the international swimming tournament, with the first time dating back to 2014. Qatar will also be hosting FINA’s World Aquatics Championship in 2023.

With 44 countries, over 200 athletes and 102 medals up for grabs, 17 Qatari swimmers will be looking to make their mark on the international stage on the 7th of November.
