Bayern Munich senior squads are set to have their winter training camp in Doha, the club's official website said in a post.
According to the German website, Bayern Munich men squad will fly to Doha and hold their camp from January 4 to 10, 2019 at the Aspire Academy. The annual winter camp at Aspire has become a fixture for the German behemoth.
Bayern Munich will be preparing for the second half of the season as on on January 13, the team of coach Niko Kovac will defend the Telekom Cup in Dusseldorf and on January 18 will start with the Bundesliga game in Hoffenheim.
The Bundesliga team of FC Bayern Women will also coem to Doha for their winter camp from January 27 to February 3. Like last time, meetings with female representatives of the Qatari society are planned. In addition, an exchange with young players who are sponsored by the Qatar Women's Sport Committee is on the cards.
“The journey of the Bundesliga players of FC Bayern Munich to Doha should also support women's sports in Arab countries,” the club said in the statement.
The first league game will take place on February 17, 2019 in Munich against champions VfL Wolfsburg.
