In round ten of the QNB Stars League – the final round before the league pauses to ready the national team players for the Gulf Cup – Al Duhail retained their position at the top of the standings, beating Al Khor 3-2 on Friday.
In Friday’s early game, Al Wakrah scraped a 2-1 win over Al Ahli. Second, in the league, Al Rayyan was held to a two-all draw by Al Shanania on Thursday night, whilst a ten-man Al Sailiya defeated Al Arabi 2-1. Yesterday, Al Gharafa beat Umm Salal 2-0, whilst reigning champions Al Sadd suffered a shock 3-0 defeat at the hands of Qatar SC.
