FANS MEET THEIR FAVOURITE STARS AT EXXONMOBIL QATAR STAND

The Peninsula

Every year during the Qatar ExxonMobil Open, ExxonMobil Qatar offers fans the opportunity to meet their favourite tennis stars at its stand in the Public Village. Hundreds of tournament-goers from all over the world gather at the stand to meet players and pick up signed giant size tennis balls.

Dominic Thiem, Jamie Murray, and David Goffin have already visited the stand and tried out the racing car simulator and the 3D virtual reality green cube. They also signed autographs for their fans.

“We work very hard to make our stand interesting, entertaining and action-packed for every year of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open, but when the tennis players visit, it makes it an even more attractive venue for tournament-goers,” said Saleh Al Mana, Vice President and Director Public and Government Affairs for ExxonMobil Qatar.

Every year, the Qatar Tennis Federation (QTF) works tirelessly to ensure that some of the biggest names in tennis travel to Doha to participate in the tournament. The Qatar ExxonMobil Open is an example of how Qatar is setting global standards for excellence across various industries and sectors. It also shines a light on the country’s position as a world-leading host of major sporting events.

“We’re very pleased that ExxonMobil Qatar gives the public the opportunity to meet their tennis idols at the Qatar ExxonMobil Open year after year. The players are helping us inspire a generation of young tennis players and fans in Qatar – the future of Qatar’s tennis is bright because of such efforts,” said Tareq Zeinal, Assistant Secretary-General of QTF.
