Coach Felix Sanchez on Sunday named Qatar's 31-man squad for their joint qualifying 2022 FIFA World Cup and AFC Asian Cup 2023 match against Afghanistan, taking place on the 19th of November at the Central Republican Stadium in Tajikistan.
Qatar's national team are also set to play a friendly match tonight at 19:30 Doha time at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium against Singapore, in preparation for their Afghanistan clash.
Since September, the national team has already played three joint qualifying matches, in which Al Annabi collected seven points, with two wins and a draw, having beaten Afghanistan 6-0, Bangladesh 2-0, and drawn 0-0 with India.
Qatar will also be using their international fixtures against Singapore and Afghanistan in order to assess players' fitness and overall performance ahead of the 24th Arabian Gulf Cup, set to kick off in Doha in less than two weeks' time.
