Qatar faced off against Oman yesterday in the Aspire Beach Volleyball Cup, in their pool C fixture at the Al Gharafa Beach Complex. Qatar’s Ziad Benlouaer and Aziz Elmajis lost the match 2-0 (21-10, 21-19).
Meanwhile, Qatar's duo of Mahdi Badreddin Sammoud and Assam Ahmed Mahmoud defeated Hideki Yoshida and Keisuke Shimizu of Japan 2-0 (21-17, 21-11).
Aspire Beach Volleyball Cup is the first of two events to be held in Qatar on the 2019-2020 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour calendar.
