Royal Air Maroc League: Third Stage Complete

The 4th edition of the Royal Air Maroc League has completed its third stage with the participation of more than 120 riders from 25 clubs including individual riders. The riders are placed into 5 categories depending on gender and experience. The 2019/2020 league’s first three locations where AlThakira (66km), Dukhan (120km), and Ghuwayriyah which consisted of three distances depending on the level of the racers (55/78/92km). 

Team Doha Cycling leads the Men A category with two team members, Mouhcine Rhaili with 190 points and Bilal Al Saadi with 163 points. Lee Jones from Team Al Jassra behind Al Saadi by three points.

In the Men B level Mudar Al Khatib from Team Doha Cycling gathers 191 points followed by individual rider Travis Pyle with 161 points and Ahmed Sharief from the Qatar National Team 155 points.

Bike to work members lands the top two positions in the Men C group with 203 points for Jamison Carino and 169 points for Jonathan Atuel. Elmer Oropieza in the third position with 156 points.

The women's category currently runs with three participants in category A and eight in category B. 

Sophie Clarke from Rasen Adventure Shop leads the group A category with 203 points and Sondra Hope advances to the top of group B with 203 points as well.  

The current point leaders in each category will have the honour of wearing the Scarlet Jersey.

The league is comprised of eight events throughout the season in support of Qatar’s amateur road racing. The remaining road races and time trials will be held across Qatar with the next session taking place at Dukhan National Road Championships on the 6th of December 2019.
