Under the patronage of HE Sheikh Joaan Bin Hamad Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatar Olympic Committee, the Sports Excellence Day will be held this Tuesday evening.
The annual Olympic Committee ceremony honors sports figures and recognizes everyone who has contributed to the growth and development of the Olympic movement for Qatar.
The Qatar national football team are expected to be recognised, for their outstanding achievement in becoming the champions of Asia after winning the AFC Football Cup. And for another historic achievement for Qatar, Mutaz Barshim will be honoured for his Gold Medal in the High Jump at the IAAF World Championships Qatar 2019.
