Flamengo booked their place in next month’s FIFA Club World Cup to be held in Doha, after staging a stunning comeback in the Copa Libertadores final, securing the title for the second time in history.
With River Plate having led the match 1-0, Flamengo equalised in the 89th minute, before Gabriel Barbosa slotted his second goal in three minutes, putting his team ahead 2 minutes into stoppage time.
Today, the final team to participate in the competition will be revealed as Urawa Reds take on Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal in Japan in the second leg of the AFC Champions League final.
