The Local Organising Committee has introduced for the first time ever in any previous sport or non-sporting event in Qatar, a fully dedicated area at the Hamad General Hospital Emergency Department (ED).
The ED will receive patients related to the 24th Arabian Gulf Cup and FIFA Club World Cup tournaments. The ED is currently in operation. staffed 24/7 with its own entrance. The purpose is to provide care to tournaments specific patients needing emergency care. In a dedicated area for them only, in the Tournaments Treatment Area (TTA).
"We hope that no single patient would need to be transferred to our emergency department, but if they do then we will provide the best care possible. This is the promise of Qatar standard of Care during the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar and all preceding test events." said the Local Organising Committee to Alkass Digital
