NVBS players accomplish overwhelming success

Players of New Vision Badminton Sport came out with flying colours in the second Qatar Oruma Open Badminton Championship 2019 which was held at Ali bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena from November 28-30.

A large number of players from NVBS took part in different events and categories of the tournament. The tournament became one of the esteemed competitions, by having more than 35 events, 515 entries and 442 players from different nationalities. In the team championship event for kids; New Vision Badminton Sport overpowered all other clubs and became toppers of the list by achieving the championship trophy.

The sub-junior squad of NVBS, which includes Adlyn Mary Sojan, Mashal Sahibjan, Dilan Togi, Shreyas C reddy, Aman Anas, Arjun Rao, added glory for their coaches by giving spectacular performances in different events of their respective age categories.

Adlyn and Mashal successfully attained their third consecutive crown in under-9 girls’ and under-9 boys’ singles events respectively. 

Adlyn defeated Samah Sajeer (21-11, 21-18) in the finals of under-9 girls’ singles. Mashal overpowered Shreyas C Reddy of the same New Vision crew by defeating him on 21-6, 21-13.

Dilan Togi and Mashal reached the finals in the under-11 boys’ doubles by defeating the opponents Aarav Menon and Selvin Remus Suresh (13-21, 21-12, 21-13) in the semi-finals. 

In the final against Pridhav Shyam Gopan and Viraj Pranshu, the team of Dilan and Mashal had to surrender in a straight-set (21-10, 21-7).

Shreyas C Reddy and Mashal became the champions in the under-9 boys’ doubles event for the second consecutive time defeating Aman Anas and Arjun Rao of the New Vision team in the finals of the under-9 boys’ doubles.

Coach Manoj said that all the players are one of the immense expectations for the future of badminton. “For every player to be successful, along with his or her dedication, efforts, regular training and daily routines the continuous support and patience of the parents are the most compulsory entity,” the coach said.
