With Mexican side Monterrey due to arrive in Qatar next week for the FIFA Club World Cup, The Embassy of Mexico in Qatar welcomed the winners' trophy this morning, as the cup makes its way around Doha.
H.E. Graciela Gómez García, the Ambassador of Mexico in Qatar welcomed other ambassadors from the South American continent, as well as guests of the embassy.
Given Mexico's rich footballing history, Garcia expressed her excitement at the competition's Mexican representation, "It is an honour for Mexico to have a team such as Monterrey F.C being represented in the Club World Cup in Doha. We are convinced that this will be a very successful event.
