The 9th edition of Katara’s Traditional Dhow
Festival will take place until the 16 of December. People are able to experience
the maritime heritage of Qatar. The festival highlights the legacy of
pearl trading and marine transportation with a wide range of activities, events, and exhibitions, traditional art, in addition to competitions, cultural and
recreational activities.
This edition welcomed participating Arab and foreign
countries Kuwait, Oman, Iraq, Turkey, India, Greece, Italy, Spain, Iran, and
Zanzibar to take part in the festival. The festival features that give special
focus on the traditional marine history of these countries.
The festival, open to the public until December 16, from 9am
to 12 noon and 3pm to 10pm.
