Al-Duhail Sports Hall witnessed at the fifth half of this evening, the first general assembly meeting of the club, which was successful in the presence of the members of the general assembly who met all the administrative conditions and who arrived early to contribute to the work of the general assembly.
Adnan Al-Ali, the club’s general manager, inaugurated the association’s business with a speech in which he welcomed the generous attendance and provided an opportunity to discuss accounts and the financial position of the club. The membership and elections committee was formed followed, after which the general assembly elected His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani as the new president of the club to succeed Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser, the former president, and Mr. Khalifa Khamis Al-Sulaiti was elected to the position of Vice President of the club.
His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad addressed the audience, where he said in his speech: First, I thank His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani for the attention and care he contributed to the club until it became one of the largest clubs locally and in the region, this will make us exceed in our efforts to continue to reach more accomplishments,
At the end of his speech, His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa thanked the generous attendees for their participation in the work of the General Assembly and for giving him the confidence to lead the club in the coming period.
