The Qatar Olympic Academy has signed a five-year cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Culture and Sports to enhance the concept of training, qualification and professional development of national cadres in sports clubs and organizations, to achieve the aspirations of Qatar National Vision 2030 and the National Development Goals in the related fields of sport.
This came during a press conference held today at Qatar Olympic Academy in the presence of the Executive Director of Qatar Olympic Academy Saif Al Nuaimi, and the Director of the Sports Affairs Department at the Ministry Isa Al Harami.
During the conference, Saif Al Nuaimi said the Academy is pleased to sign this agreement with the Ministry of Culture and Sports as an initiative for the Academy to enter the scope of training in the sports sectors in the country, and the Academy hopes in the near future to provide many training courses with the Ministry of Culture and Sports and will announce in the coming days a set of courses in coordination with the Ministry to accommodate the number of trainees.
Al Nuaimi indicated that the Academy has a special agenda and a special program in sports education management, which is an international program that is axed by the International Olympic Committee, and the Academy has an annual agenda, and the new sessions with the Ministry will be within a special calendar for the Academy and will be in coordination with the Ministry, and the cooperation continues before the signing of the agreement that will make cooperation broad.
For his part, Al Harami indicated that these courses cover all the sports sector, whether clubs or unions, especially that unions such as bowling, chess, billiards, and snooker are under the ministry umbrella, and all associates need such courses to refine their experiences so that they can cover the events hosted by the State of Qatar, and among them are affiliated with clubs, whether employees or administrators in the sports sector and the ministry seeks to develop and refine their expertise.
Al Harami stressed that participation in the courses will be free of charge for employees and affiliates of Qatari clubs, and the cooperation with the Olympic Academy will be in the framework of courses that serve the work in clubs and unions.
