The Police team temporarily led the Men's Volleyball League ranking with twenty points, after defeating Al Sadd SC 3-0 in their previous match. Top seed The Police have been on a roll, winning three consecutive matches and currently having a total of only 1 loss.
Al Ahli fell short to Al Wakra, losing 3 sets to 2, placing Al Wakra at third in the rankings whilst Al Ahli follows in fourth.
Al-Rayyan positioned themselves in fifth with 11 points, after triumphing number 9 ranked team Al Shamal 3 sets to none. This is Al Shamal’s third consecutive loss and a total of six losses, with only 1 win in their books.
Al-Rayyan is hoping for the sixth ranking with eight points He hopes to restore the tone of victories after his sudden loss in the last round against Al-Khor, especially as he enters the game and is a candidate to win against the North team, which is eighth with three points.
Al-Khor‘s hopes for another win were crushed by number six ranked Qatar SC 3-2. Al Khor, who’ve won their previous match up against Al Rayyan, are struck with another loss in their column with 6 losses and 1 win.
