Defending champions Al Sadd bounced back in their QNB Stars League deferred match from Week 5 against Al Arabi, as the wolves defeated them 6-1.
Al Sadd retaliated heavily after Al Arabi's first and only goal came just 10 minutes within the match by Marc Muniesa. Al Sadd was able to score 3 goals in 5 minutes, with goals from Pedro in the 30th min, Boundjah in the 32nd and captain Hassan Al Haydos in the 35th minutes. Al Sadd's offence did not back down in the second half, as 3 more goals were added from as Al-Haydos notched up another goal in the 55th minute, along with AFC player of the year Akram Afif tacking on 1 more in the 74th minute. Baghdad Boundjah secured their win by add 1 more in the 81st minute.
With the win, Al sadd moved up to 3 place with 21 points and a game in hand. The QNB Stars league resumes on the 21st of January with Al Sadd facing off against al Khor.
