The International Judo Federation Refereeing Sport and Education Seminar continues in its second and final day, as Qatar hosts the event for the first time.

Taking place ahead of the Doha Masters 2020, set to begin on the 28th of May, and the 2023 World Championships, the summit aimed to educate referees on the current rules and regulations of the sport.

"This seminar is for referees' education. They keep updating the rules and techniques, so that's why we've organised the event with the IJF" stated Adel Al Marzooqi, Executive Director of Qatar Taekwondo, Judo & Karate Federation.

Hundreds of attendees from around the world travelled to Doha to take part in the seminar, keen to see the infrastructure and facilities ahead of the Doha Masters.

"We brought the seminar here to be a test for us," added Al Marzooqi, "At the same time it improves our relationship with the IJF"

The summit, taking place at Ali bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena in Doha, will come to a close this evening.
