The Qatar Men’s Table Tennis League, held in the Qatar Table Tennis Center, continued with its 8th and penultimate round last night with three match ups. Qatar Sports Club overcame Al Rayyan SC 3-0, bringing itself closer to winning its third trophy in its history.


With last night’s win, Al Qatrawi raised its score tally to 14 with seven overall wins, while Al Rayyan reached a score of 15. On the opposite end of the arena, Al Wakra managed to beat Al Gharafa 3-2 to climb to fifth place in the rankings with 10 points, putting them on equal footing with Al Ahli SC who also sit at fifth with the same amount of points, and leaving Al Gharafa in seventh place with 9 points. Al Arabi SC succeeded in taking third place definitively after defeating Al Sadd SC 3-2, to raise its score to 14 points, ahead of fourth place holders Al Khor with 13 points.


The eighth round Matches witnessed the attendance of Khalil bin Ahmed Al Muhannadi, President of the Federation, Muhammed Abdullah Saleh, Secretary-General of the federation, Ali Sultan Muftah Assistant Secretary, and Abdullah Hamid Al Mulla, the executive Director of Qatar Sports Club. Monday will see the announcement of the most prominent candidates for the title of the 2019/2020 Season.
