Aspire Academy hosts SOP Football Competitions

The football competitions for boys' primary schools at the 13th edition of the Schools Olympic Program (SOP) were resumed at Aspire Academy on Wednesday.

In the first group, Doha Academy led the standings with four points while Palestinian School led the second group.

Cambridge International School defeated Stafford School 2-1 to lead the third group while Pakistani International School took the first place in the fourth group following their consecutive victories over Tunisian School and Future Generation School.

MES School defeated Doha Academy 4-1 to lead the fifth group while Ayla International School edged past Royal Crown School 5-0.

The SOP is held annually as a collaborative effort to encourage hundreds of students-athletes competing from all over Qatar.

The SOP Committee aims to spread a culture of sports through Qatar's schools and to engage the entire community in active and healthy lifestyles while retaining local values and traditions.
