In Round 12 of the Second Division League, Al Markhiya held Al Kharaitiyat to a 1-1 draw, whilst Muaither scraped a 1-0 win over Lusail.
Al Kharaitiyat, who entered round 12 as league leaders, finally got ahead in the 84th minute with a goal from Tiberkanine Rachid, however just ten minutes later, fifth in the league Al Markhiya equalised. Despite this, Al Kharaitiyat retained their one-point lead at the top of the table.
Meanwhile, Al Bidda continue to threaten Kharaitiyat’s top
position as their match against Mesaimeer ended in a nil-nil draw, leaving them
on 22 points.
Muaither raised their tally to 18 points following a 1-0 win over Lusail, having waited until the 63rd minute for their winning goal, slotted by M. Zourigat off the back of a free-kick.
Al Shamal achieved a 5-1 victory over Al Waab, leaving them on 16 points.
