The second round of Qatar National Sprint Championship concluded on Saturday in the presence of Minister of Culture and Sports, H E Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali.

The event, sponsored by Economic Zones Company (Manateq), includes the O1, O2, O3, P1, P2, P3 categories.

The first three places of the O1 class were crowned after the end of three races of the Qatar National Sprint Championship in its second round. The winners were Al Jabri, Fakhreddein Bejaoui, and Eli Daccashi. The winners in the O2 category were Mohamed Al Khayarin, Mohamed Al Basti, and Mohamed Al Delaimi. The top three places in the O3 category went to Al Khayarin, Yousef Al Jabri and Abdullah Al Khulaifi.

In the P1 category, Henry Kahy, Mansour Shebli, Abdulaziz Al Jabri finished as the top three. The P2 category saw Mohammed Al Jabri, Abdullah Al muhtaseb, and Dennis Nikitopoulous finish ahead of everyone else. The winners in the P3 categories were Mahmoud Al Mahmoud, Hussam Al Qatami, and Eyad Al Okar.

Chairman of the Board of Directors Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF), Abdulrahman Abdullatif Al Mannai praised the strong level of competitions of the second rounds of the Sprint championships, noting the great interest of the contestants, with the number of participants reaching 56 in the six different categories.

In a press statement after crowning the winners, he said that organising the championship was very important, due to the role it can play in attracting young amateurs to practice their beloved sport away from the roads and in accordance with security and safety guidelines.

He added that the competition represents a great value for youth, especially since its costs are low as contestants can participate with their own cars.
