The 7th Social Responsibility Awards Ceremony took place yesterday at Ezdan Palace Hotel under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
The Awards aimed to celebrate companies and individuals who give back to society, through various different means. Amongst the award winners were Aspire Zone, Ashghal and Katara.
Buthaina Al-Ansari, organiser, spoke on the responsibility big companies have when it comes to the wider society, “We believe that corporate plays a major role in developing certain projects that will enable the community to work harder and to use their initiative to serve the community.”
Adding, “The most important pillar [in the Qatar National Vision 2030] is to do with investment in human capital. Companies and institutions cannot work without humans, so we have to develop the right platform for those people to enable them.”
