QOC
The winter camp of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) hosted the first Beach Cricket Championship under 14 years on Friday.
The QOC winter is organized in cooperation with the Qatar Tourism Authority at Sealine Beach.
The Championship featured the participation of 10 schools represented by 120 students.
Pak Shama School team (RED) claimed the title. The other Pak Shama School team (GREEN) finished second ahead of Bravo Academy in the third place.
Mohammad Abdullah Al Meer, Head of the QOC Accounts Section honored the winning teams as the QOC allocated valuable prize money for the winners.
Al Meer hailed the success of the championship and wide participation of the students in the event.
“The success of the championship will motivate us to organize similar championships and community activities in the future" He said.
“The camp provides the perfect setting for families and friends to experience a wide range of sports and entertainment activities" He added.
Al Meer also thanked the officials of the Qatar Cricket Association for their contribution to this success.
