The Qatar football family; Qatar Stars League, Qatar Football Association and the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy marked Qatar National Sports Day 2020 by the opening of the public parks located at Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor. Equivalent to over 30 football pitches, the park offers a beautiful, sprawling city escape, which has a total area of around 1,331,900sqm, equipped with a park, am an artificial lake, pedestrian corridors, running and cycling tracks and a car parking area, among other facilities. A newly built barbecue kiosk, which allows families to gather and spend quality time over the three equipped outdoor grill stations.
The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy and Aspire Zone Foundation in collaboration with government and private entities organized several activities ranging from basketball, activities by the Red Cross, active sports classes and many more for the public to enjoy on the National Holiday. Football was one of the main activities available with the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy ambassadors Samuel Eto’o and Tim Cahill participating on the festive occasion.
With a large crowd present, the 9th Qatar National Sports Day focuses on community participation, to allow people of all age groups to partake in the sporting activities held across Qatar.
