Minister of Culture and Sports HE Salah bin Ghanim Al Ali yesterday congratulated the Qatar football side after their convincing 2-0 victory over Saudi Arabia in the UAE.
The Minister praised the fighting spirit of the football team and the side’s ability to overcome challenges in the match. He said the Qatar team deserved victory, thanks to the unlimited support of the country’s wise leadership. He said the team had succeeded in achieving the first goal of the event which was reaching the round of the 16. The Minister also congratulated Qatar Football Association (QFA) President Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani and the Qatari football fans.
The Minister wished Qatar success in their match against Iraq in the round of the 16 on January 22.
