Doha, Qatar- Al-Khor signed French coach Bernard Casoni after sacking Tunisian Adel Sellimi, yesterday. The move followed their goalless draw against Qatar SC, last week.
Casoni signed the deal with Al Khor Sports Club President Hassan Juma Al Mohannadi.
As a player, Casoni started off with French club Cannes in 1978. He also represented clubs like Marseille and the French national team.
Casoni began his coaching career in 1999 with Olympique de Marseille. He was also at the helm of affairs in Tunisia. Leading Club Africain and Etoile du Sahel.
Al-Khor will take on Umm Salal in Week 7 of the QNB Stars League at the Al-Gharafa Stadium on Friday. They have only two points and are 11th in the standings.
Al-Khor had drawn goalless with Qatar SC in the previous round under caretaker coach Omar Najhi. Meanwhile, Najhi has been given the charge of the U-23 team.
