HE President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani congratulated HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and the people of Qatar on the occasion of the national team's victory of the 2019 Asian Cup.
HE Sheikh Joaan praised Qatar's performance in the tournament, saying that the Qatari team had an exceptional tournament and earned everyone's respect through the technical and moral level in which they won the title. He added that the players were the best example and role model for the youth. The team has proven its strength, unity, and sportsmanship, despite the surrounding atmosphere of the tournament, he further added.
HE Sheikh Joaan pointed out that the national team's achievement of winning the Asian Cup is an achievement that all the nation and people are proud of, noting that this victory is the result of continuous efforts spread over the past years and have begun to bear fruit, and is a legacy that will be remembered in the history of Qatari sports.

He pointed out that the Qatari team won the championship deservedly after playing at exceptional levels that enabled them to win the championship for the first time in their history.
