Qatar Olympic Committee tonight launched the emblem and slogan within their portfolio for their bid for the 2030 Asian Games.

Inspired by local culture and heritage, the logo design draws from traditional artwork.

Qatar is currently one of two nations, including Saudi Arabia, competing for the hosting rights of the 21st edition of the competition, with a decision due at the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) General Assembly meeting in November.

When the nations made public their interests in hosting the Games, President of the OCA Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad al-Sabah stated,  "The OCA is delighted to receive two strong bids for our Asian Games in 2030," adding, "It shows the trust and confidence in the Olympic Movement in Asia and further enhances our reputation of hosting world-class sporting events on a major scale."

Speaking on Alkass Sports Channels during the emblem launch, CEO of the Doha 2030 Asian Games bid, Jassim Al Buainain stated, "Qatar, and our Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, holds sports in the highest regard. As such, we are highly invested in it as a nation and have the utmost confidence in our bid to host the 2030 Asian games."

Meanwhile, His Excellency Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of Qatar Olympic Committee, stated, "Our bid is born out of a strong belief that sport has a power to drive social change and foster peace and understanding." He added, "The unique role sports can play in keeping us connected and inspiring growth has been so clearly demonstrated this year during the global pandemic, and it has only strengthened our determination to use Doha 2030 as a gateway to a brighter future for Qatar and the Olympic Asian family.
