Al Thumama Racing’s X FORCE (Bungle Inthejungle x Nafa) completed a hat-trick of victories this season with Soufiane Saadi riding the Ibrahim Saeed Ibrahim Al Malki trained gelding to yet another feature win at Al Rayyan Park on Wednesday. After bagging the Umm Al Houl Cup earlier this month, the 3yo lined up the widest in the seven strong MURAIKH CUP (THOROUGHBREDS Class 2) on dirt. The 1100m sprint saw Saadi and X Force take the lead in the final 100m and then pulling away for a comfortable victory, beating Injaaz Stud’s IZZTHATRIGHT (Moss Vale x Miss Adelaide), ridden by Jason Watson for Zuhair Mohsen Zuhair Maki. Mohammed Khalifa Al Sowaidi’s TOP FACE (Tiznow x Toppisme) finished third under Carlos Henrique.

Al Ghazali Stud’s DHEBAN (Exceed And Excel x Comeback Queen) had won over C&D last three times with Ali Khalid Al Mosallam in the saddle. That record stayed intact as Al Mosallam helmed the Mohammed Gassim Ghazali trained gelding to a thrilling victory in the THOROUGHBRED HANDICAP (Class 3) (75-95) on Wednesday. In the 1900m run on dirt, the 7yo beat Soufiane Saadi ridden Ernest Aldrich by a neck at the post for his first victory this season.

Ali Khalid Al Mosallam’s LEAFY MOSS (Shamardal x Botanique) strung together a hat-trick of victories with the gelding landing yet another handicap this season. The Mohammed Gassim Ghazali trained gelding had two consecutive C&D victories coming into Wednesday’s THOROUGHBRED HANDICAP (Class 3) (70-90). The six furlong sprint saw Al Mosallam astride the 5yo once again as the duo won the race with ease, going past the post four and a half lengths ahead of the competition.

Rakan Khames Abuzuif’s ENNAB (Munjiz x Areej) had missed out on a victory twice this term coming into Wednesday’s PUREBRED ARABIAN HANDICAP (90 & below). But the gelding managed to snatch a narrow win under Alberto Sanna, with the duo edging out Carlos Henrique ridden Tasslam by a quarter of length at the post landing the duel. It was the fourth career victory for Majed Mahadi Seifeddine trained 7yo.

Saif Rashid Saif Al Khayarin’s WADHAH (Abide With Me x Viola D’Amore) raced to her second straight victory this season on Wednesday. Ridden by Luca Maniezzi in the LOCAL THOROUGHBRED HANDICAP (90 & below), the Mohamed Khaled Elahmed trained filly had bagged a C&D Handicap four weeks ago, and followed that up with yet another win, fourth one overall. In the process, the filly led a one-two for the trainer with Michael Forest riding Dhergham Bu Thaila three and a half lengths behind the winner.

Running C&D for the first time in a year, Abdulatif Hussain Al Emadi’s SKY BLUE (Zoffany x Blur) entered the winner’s enclosure for the first time this term when Soufiane Saadi guided the gelding to a fine victory in the LOCAL THOROUGHBRED HANDICAP (75 & below). Ibrahim Saeed Ibrahim Al Malki trained 4yo had creditable finishes in his first two outings this season, and on Wednesday beat Luca Maniezzi trained Dukhan by a length and a quarter for the trainer’s second win of the day.

Al Sakab Stud’s AL FAISALIYA (Coach House x Shielaligh) went one better than her outing from a week ago to register her second career victory on Wednesday. Soufiane Saadi had helmed the Ibrahim Saeed Ibrahim Al Malki trained filly to a runner up spot over C&D last week. On Wednesday, Francois Herholdt helmed the 4yo bay horse to a smashing 21 length victory where she was unstoppable and in a league of her own, topping the LOCAL THOROUGHBRED NOVICE PLATE.

Qatari rider Rashid Ali Al Marri made it two in two on Wednesday when he guided Ahmed Hassan Al Malki Al Jehani’s SHAWEESH (Nizam x Mansourah ASF) to the horse’s first career win. In the PUREBRED ARABIAN NOVICE PLATE, the 5yo from the yard of Hamad Ahmed Al Malki Al Jehani, who was ridden to a runner up spot two weeks ago by the apprentice jockey, Al Marri guided the grey horse to a fine one length victory in the 1900 run on dirt.

Ibrahim Hassan Al Malki Al Jehani’s SKIP THE QUEUE (Acclamation x Red Perdita) bagged his second victory this calendar year in dominant fashion. Helmed by Qatari rider Rashid Ali Al Marri, who had guided the Hamad Ahmed Al Malki Al Jehani saddled colt to a runner up finish over C&D last month, was in the saddle for Wednesday’s THOROUGHBRED NOVICE PLATE (Class 5). In the 1100m run, the 3yo surged forward in the sprint to win handsomely by seven lengths.
