Dimitrij Ovtcharov of Germany won the men's singles title of the World Table Tennis (WTT) Middle East Hub on Saturday at Lusail hall.

Ovtcharov defeated Chinese Taipei's 19-year-old Lin Yun-Ju, 4-1 in the final.

Also, Japan's Ito Mima secured the gold medal of the women's competition following a 4-2 win over her compatriot Hayata Hina.

Japan's two-time Olympic medalist Ishikawa Kasumi and Hirano Miu beat Chinese Taipei's Cheng Hsien-Tzu and Chen Szu-Yu 3-0 in the women's doubles final.

Korean duo Daeseong Cho and Sangsu Lee won the men's doubles final 3-2 against Argentinia's Horacio Cifuentes and Gaston Alto.

Chinese Taipei's Lin Yun-Ju and Cheng I-Ching beat France's Emmanuel Lebesson and Yuan Jia Nan 3-2 in the mixed doubles final.
