The fourth day of the annual purebred Arabian Camel Festival for the sword of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani saw owners win six silver trophies.
The competition is set to last until April 1, and is seeing wide participation from GCC countries.
For his part, Vice Chairman of the Camel Racing Organizing Committee Abdullah bin Mohamed Al Kuwari praised the intensity of this year's competition, as participants strive to win the golden trophies for the Their Excellencies Sheikhs and tribes categories. He congratulated the winners of today's races, adding that he expects the next few days of the festival to be even more successful in light of the strength of the competition.
He also praised the strong Gulf participation in the festival, saying that camel owners in the Gulf were always looking to take part in festivals with their Qatari counterparts. He added that they are also strongly driven and keen on winning the trophies.
