The focus will be on three Qatari riders when the first round of 2021 Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup (IATC) starts at Losail Circuit Sports Club Circuit on Saturday (March 27).
The trio Yousif Al Darwish, Saad Al Harqan and Hamad Al Sahouti will take part at the IATC.
Hamad won the QSSP 300 Class at the new season of Qatar Superstock and Qatar Touring Car in January this year after he overcame compatriots Yousef and Saad.
The Race 1 starts at 16:35 (Doha time) on Saturday while the Race 2 comes off on Sunday at 13:50 (Doha time).
Two 14-lap races, one on Saturday and one on Sunday, will kick off the season with the season-opening MotoGP Barwa Grand Prix of Doha event, with plenty to look out for in an interesting grid of veterans and rookies from all over Asia and Oceania.
The Round 2 also takes place alongside MotoGP at the same venue for the TISSOT Grand Prix of Doha (April 2-4).
Following the cancellation of last year’s edition, the 2020 riders were automatically given the chance to continue in the competition.
