Aspetar to Present Young Investigator Awards at 36th FIMS World Congress of Sports Medicine

QNA

Aspetar, the world leading specialized orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital, will present the Young Investigator Awards for the third time, as part of 36th World Congress of Sports Medicine which will be held at the Megaron Athens International Conference Center in Athens from September 24 to 27.

The awards, presented to four researchers for the best poster and oral presentations during this biannual congress, aim to encourage and support young scientists, and reward outstanding dissemination of their work to an international audience.

The Aspetar Young Investigator Award will enable young and established researchers and clinicians to further develop and apply the highest standards of research in sports medicine and science to benefit ongoing basic and clinical research projects.

All eligible reward winners must be within six years of completing a research degree or medical residency and must not hold a level higher than assistant professor.

The Aspetar Young Investigator Awards Committee, five experienced scientists and clinicians from Aspetar and the International Sports Medicine Federation (FIMS) will independently evaluate the presentations using standardized assessment templates.

Since establishing a formal partnership with FIMS in 2016, Aspetar has contributed to the ongoing success of the FIMS World Congress of Sports Medicine through key note lectures, symposia and workshops on various sports medicine and science topics.

As one of the world leaders in sports medicine and science, Aspetar continues to prioritize extensive clinical, research and education collaborations with many local, regional and international individuals, institutions and organizations.
